Don't Suffer, Speak out, Just smile!

Just smiling can make so much of a difference! ...

Bullying is wrong! Nobody has the right to hurt anybody by calling them names, using physical abuse, sending them threatening text messages or emails, spreading rumours about them or in any other form, that is intended to upset and frustrate the other person.
Everyone has the right to a life. A life that is not abused by other people.
Bullies blame their actions on the other person saying that it's the victims' fault for looking or acting different to themselves. But it's not the victim's fault.
This could be:-
Size
Appearance
Hair Colour
Wearing Glasses
Intelligence
Being Shy
Religion
Having a Disability
Wearing "The Wrong Clothes"

Basically any excuse will suffice for them.

What ever happens: tell yourself it's not your fault. Because it's not!

  • Don't ignore bullying: it's not going to go away that easily.
  • Tell somebody you trust, maybe a close friend/teacher or your parents.
  • Be persistent. If the first person you talk to doesn't help, don't give up. Speak to someone else.
  • Tell the person you talk to, not to do anything without telling you about it first. You have the right to know what's happening on your behalf and whether you think it is a good idea or not.
  • Don't ever forget:it’s never your fault. No one deserves to go through the pain that you're going through.
  • Save any abusive texts or emails that you may have been sent. And show them to a responsible adult.
  • Keep away from the bully/bullies. Dont give them a chance to get near you.
  • If you're afraid of being confronted by the bully/bullies, keep in a group.
  • Even ask yourfriends to keep a look out for them.
  • Dont react to what they've said. This can get you into trouble.
  • Try acting confident even when you dont feel it.
  • Most importantly: JUST SMILE! Dont let the bullies know they are getting to you.
